god in the docks......

Fri Aug 11, 2006, 1:51 PM
I can read Lewis over and over again...and I do. He never ceases to amaze me,or leave me with something bland.
This was taken from "God In The Docks",by C.S. Lewis in the chapter titled, scraps.

"You are always dragging me down",said I to my Body.
"Well I like that! Who taught me to like tobacco and alcohol? You,of course, with your idiotic adolescent idea of being "grown-up". My palate loathed both at first: but you would have your way. Who put an end to all those angry and revengeful thoughts last night? Me,of course,by insisting on going to sleep. Who does his best to keep you from talking too much and eating too much by giving you dry throats and headaches and indigestion? Eh?".
"And what about sex?" said I.
"Yes what about it?" retorted the body. "If you and your wretched imagination would leave me alone I'd give you no trouble. That's soul all over, you give me orders and then blame me for carrying them out."

now lay this wreckage to rest....

Mon Jul 10, 2006, 12:27 AM
that picture you see of my room......that is now, only a memory.
i am almost done moving.
nearly two years ago i bought this huge toolbox from home depot...and i never really used it.
i had a smaller toolbox i used for art stuff, but i quickly outgrew it...oh yeah,if ever you need an art box, please do not buy an,"artbin".
your paying three to four times way too much.
go to home depot and buy a toolbox.
anyways,it ended up that all my necessary art supplies fit nicely into that huge toolbox that i didnt know why i had, until yesterday.
so now,i will be living out of that box for an alleged month til i get a place with my two friends.
that was my main thing, haha, not clothes or a bed....just things to make art with.
well...gotta go pack the remnants of my once bold room.
hope all is well
